Regular Mountain Bike Maintenance

1. Keep your tires inflated. Depending on the time of year, during Winter months keep your tires at a lower pressure and during the Summer at a higher pressure. Also inflation is dependent on terrain if you spend most of your time on roads you want higher pressure and lower pressure for more uneven riding. Keep your tires at lower pressure for increased traction.

2. Grease it up! Degrease and regrease your chain once every week or two weeks. Clean your disc brakes with rubbing alcohol and keep your gears and other moving parts greased up. Don't grease your brakes!

3. Make sure you keep a spare inner tube with you when you ride and a bike pump incase you get a flat. Alternately you can get a patch kit to patch your bikes tube. Keep a pressure gauge handy as well.

4. Make sure everything is properly secure and not coming loose.
